Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Fourways CC (registration number 2005/019308/07), trading as Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Fourways online store and Grapple Gear, Go!, is the responsible party under the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA).

What we collect, and why
Order details: name, email, phone, billing address, delivery address, and what you bought. We use these to take the order, take payment, deliver, send the invoice, and handle a return. Giving this information is required to complete the order. If you do not give it, we cannot sell to you.
Account details: name, email, and password hash if you create an account. Used to let you see orders.
Support messages: whatever you send us. Used to answer you.
Device and site data: IP address, browser, pages viewed, and cookies. Used to run the cart and, if you allow it, to see how the site is used.
Payment card numbers are collected by the payment provider, not stored by us as full card numbers.
If a parent buys a child’s gi, we treat the buyer as the customer. We do not want a child’s account.

Who we share it with
Shopify, which hosts the store. Yoco, Payflex, PayJustNow, or the payment provider used at checkout. The Courier Guy or the courier named on the order, and only the details needed to deliver. Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Fourways CC staff who fulfil the order. A professional adviser or regulator if the law requires it.
Some of these providers store data outside South Africa. We use providers that contract to protect the information.

Marketing
We only send promotional email or SMS if you opt in. You can opt out in the message or by emailing admin@graciefourways.co.za. Order and delivery messages are not marketing.

Cookies
The cart, checkout, and login need cookies. Analytics and advertising cookies run only if you accept them. You can change this in the cookie banner or your browser.

How long we keep it
Order and tax records: at least 5 years, because South African tax law requires it. Support messages: 2 years after the last message, unless a dispute is open. Marketing consent: until you opt out, then we keep a suppression record so we do not email you again.

Your rights
You can ask what we hold, ask for a correction, object to marketing, and ask for deletion where the law allows. Email admin@graciefourways.co.za. We will answer within a reasonable time. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Information Regulator at https://inforegulator.org.za or POPIAComplaints@inforegulator.org.za.

Security
Checkout runs over HTTPS. Payment runs through the payment provider. Staff access is limited to people who fulfil orders.

Changes
If we change this policy, we will put the new date at the top. The version on this page is the current one.
